Land Developer Contributions
Universal Developments - Longview
Longview is a master planned community several years in the planning. Incorporating 480 residential lots, a 3.5Ha township service centre and two recreation reserves, it is delivering much needed affordable housing at Lake Hāwea. Universal Developments will provide 58 sections to QLCHT to build upon.
Arrowtown Lifestyle Village
The developers of this vibrant retirement village delivered a cash contribution to QLCHT as part of their Special Housing Area agreement. Whilst a welcoming and inclusive retirement community for over 65’s, a land contribution was not deemed suitable, so the developers offered cash instead, which QLCHT used to fund other housing projects.
Hanley's Farm
Hanley’s Farm is a master-planned development in Queenstown that invites residents to enjoy simple, modern living in an extraordinary setting. We have been working closely with Hanley’s Farm who share our vision of providing every member of the local community the opportunity to secure an affordable place to call home.
Exclusive Developments Ltd - Hikuwai
Nestled between the banks of the Clutha river and the base of Mount Iron, Hikuwai offers the best of urban living in a semi-rural setting. Located just five minutes from the central Wanaka township, thought has gone into the development of wetlands, shared green space and a community orchard. The developer has provided 6 sections to QLCHT to date, with 4 more to come in 2023.
Bullendale
Bullendale is a European-style terraced housing development at Arthurs point, just 5 minutes drive from central Queenstown. The development offers high-quality, architecturally designed dwellings in a medium density setting. The developer delivered QLCHT a cash contribution under their rezoning process.
Crescent Investments Ltd - Kirimoko Park
Developers John May and the late Don Church, created Kirimoko Park as an attractive and sustainable living environment by carefully controlling the layout, design, landscaping and construction of individual dwellings. Within close proximity of three Wānaka schools, QLCHT was delighted to be able to house several families here through the developer's contribution.
Shotover Country
Located alongside the stunning Shotover and Kawarau rivers, Shotover Country was developed as an entry level subdivision in 2012, by local landowners who had previously been farming the land. With over 900 homes in the area now, QLCHT is delighted to have received land from the developers in two stages, enabling the construction of 50 affordable homes.
